I study cardiovascular adaptation across pregnancy as a dynamic, coordinated process shaped by both physiology and the conditions of daily life (e.g., stress, material conditions). My research integrates continuous wearable-derived biometrics, home blood pressure and weight measurements, and ecological momentary assessments to characterize how autonomic, vascular, and hemodynamic patterns change across gestation. Using longitudinal modeling and advanced computational approaches, I aim to identify when an individual may begin to deviate from her expected physiologic trajectory before complications (e.g., hypertensive disorders of pregnancy) become clinically apparent. The long-term goal is to support earlier, more individualized maternal risk detection.
